Ghulam Ali Was An Ardent Music Lover From His Early Days. His Love Was
Transformed Into Passion, However , When in 1954 He Had The Occasion To Hear
Khan Sahib Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan , In Karachi. Deeply Impressed By The
Master He Immediately Became His Pupil And Remained Under His Tutelage Until He
Migrated From Pakistan. Before Leaving Ustad Ghulam Ali Khan Put Him Under The
Charge Of His ILLustrious Brothers , The Late Ustad Barkat Ali Khan And Ustad
Mubarik Ali Khan. Seven Years Of Their Expert Guidance And His Own Earnest Efforts
Combined To Give Him A Sound Knowledge Of Classical Music. In 1960 He Sought
And Was Given Permission By Ustad Barkat Ali Khan To Sing For Radio. Ever
Since, He Has Been Associated With Radio Pakistan And Performs Regularly.
"Tal" (Rhythm) Like "Sur" (Note) Is An Indispensible
Ingredient Of Classical Music , Or For That Matter Any Music . Realizing This
Ghulam Ali Also Mastered The Art Of Tabla-Playing From The Renowned "Tabla
Nawaz" The Late Ustad Allah Ditta Khan.
Ghulam Ali Won Nation Wide Applause In The All Pakistan Music Conference
Held In 1968, And Was Awarded A Certificate In Recognition Of His Meritorious
Performance , And His Services To The Cause Of Music.
